Advocacy Law of the Republic of Latvia, Article 41.1:

The Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates organises the advocate examination not less than once every six months. The examination shall be received by a commission, which shall include:

1) three Doctors of Law delegated by the legal science promotion council;

2) three senators assigned by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court;

3) three sworn advocates assigned by the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates;

4) an authorised representative of the Minister for Justice.

The Minister for Justice approves the composition of the Examination Commission.

The chairperson of the Examination Commission is elected from amongst the members of the Commission.

Kristīne Dupate – Dr.iur., professor at the Chair of International and European Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia

Inita Ilgaža – Director of the Judiciary Policy Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia

Erlens Kalniņš – Dr.iur., sworn advocate, representative of the Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates

Jānis Kārkliņš – Dr.iur., sworn advocate, associate professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia

Veronika Krūmiņa – judge of the Department of Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia

Valentija Liholaja – Dr.iur., professor at the Chair of Criminal Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia

Aivars Lošmanis – Dr.iur., sworn advocate, representative of the Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates

Inguna Radzeviča – judge of the Department of Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Latvia

Jānis Rozenbergs – Dr.iur., sworn advocate, President of the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates
